KEN DUNCAN TESTIMONIAL FOR MOGO ZOO / MOGO ZOOm
It is obvious when you see the animals at Mogo Zoo interacting normally within their family groups, that they are healthy, alert and contented in their environment. All of the staff have a passion for wildlife and genuinely love their animals. Animals don’t breed well in captivity if they are under stress, so the success of Mogo Zoo’s breeding program is further proof of the animals’health and well-being.
MOGO ZOOm is a fabulous program. June Andersen, a passionate and gifted wildlife photographer, is an enthusiastic teacher who explains things in simple terms that even a novice can understand. Going behind the scenes at the zoo is a tremendous privilege - you feel like you have actually entered the animals’ domain and can relate to them so much better. If you ever want to go on an African photo safari, I highly recommend doing the MOGO ZOOm program beforehand. It will give you the skills you need to take great wildlife photos.
The MOGO ZOOm, Through The Lens Experience has exceeded all of my expectations.
June, with the support of Pattie, taught us how to shoot beautiful images from photographic opportunities not available to regular zoo visitors. Much was learnt in the classroom sessions with June professionally catering for differing skills and equipment. The invaluable and expert wildlife guidance of Clive ensured that the animals remained undisturbed by our small group and that our and their wellbeing remained of the utmost importance. Mogo Zoo staff are so accommodating and took time out of their hectic day to allow us time with the animals and share fascinating information with us. I can guarantee you will be thrilled with the animal interaction and photographs you can capture. That element alone makes this experience great value for money. One warning though, this is something you will want to do over and over. In fact, I am about to do my fifth one.
